Poland’s 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign was an interesting one. Paulo Sousa guided them to a second-place finish behind England in their group, but the Portuguese then left his role. Czesław Michniewicz took charge and secured qualification by overseeing a 2-0 playoff win against Sweden. The Poles now face Argentina, Mexico and Saudi Arabia in Group C and will hope to reach the knockout rounds for the first time since 1986.
If Poland are to progress in Qatar, they need Robert Lewandowski to be at his brilliant best. The Barcelona striker is his country’s all-time top goal scorer with over 75 strikes, including nine during qualifying. Can Lewandowski help The Eagles match or better the third-place finishes they secured in 1974 and 1982? Check out BetVictor’s array of Poland World Cup Betting options.
