QATAR World Cup 2022

Quarter Final

Croatia will look for their first-ever win against Brazil when they meet in the 2022 World Cup quarter-finals. The South Americans have dominated this head-to-head, winning three of four matches, including previous World Cup encounters in 2006 and 2014.

Zlatko Dalić’s side were runners-up in 2018, and they are enjoying another strong tournament in 2022. They are one of the few unbeaten teams left, having won one and drawn three of their matches. Vatreni needed all their experience in the last 16 to see off Japan, coming from behind to win on penalties. Ivan Perisic scored in that game and continues to be a big game player for Croatia. The Spurs man has one goal and two assists at this World Cup, taking his major tournament tally to ten goals and seven assists in 24 appearances. Five-time winners Brazil are favourites to win the World Cup, and their performance against South Korea showed why. A Seleção hammered Paulo Bento’s side 4-1, with three of their forwards – Vinicius, Richarlison and Neymar – all on the scoresheet. Richarlison has been the standout performer so far. His goal against the Koreans was his third in Qatar, making him their leading scorer at the tournament.

Brazil have lost their last three World Cup quarter-finals against European opposition (2006, 2010, 2018). Can they end that run with victory at the Education City Stadium? Bet on Croatia v Brazil at the 2022 World Cup on the BetVictor Sportsbook.
