The Stuttgart Open, also called the MercedesCup, is a men’s ATP Tour 250 series tournament played on grass courts in Stuttgart, Germany. The tournament has been running since 1916 and has changed format a number of times since, becoming part of the ATP 250 in 2000, and moving from clay to grass in 2015. As an extra incentive, the winners of the tournament are awarded a Mercedes car each year in addition to their prize money.
