First held in 2017 to replace the men’s Bucharest Open, the Hungarian Open is a recent addition to the men’s ATP World Tour 250 series. Run each April in Budapest, the tournament is the first ATP tour event to be held in Hungary and is played on outdoor clay courts. Italian players won two of the first three tournaments, with Marco Cecchinato victorious in 2018 and Matteo Berrettini lifting the trophy in 2019.
