Interlagos Circuit

Home of the Brazilian Grand Prix, the Interlagos circuit was first opened in 1940. It's located in São Paulo and was initially the Autódromo de Interlagos. However, this changed in 1985 when it became the Autódromo José Carlos Pace – in honour of former driver Carlos Pace.

This circuit is notorious for being demanding on cars. It was built on hilly ground and the steep inclines present a big challenge. So, cars must have plenty of power to get around it come race day. It’s also one of few tracks to run anti-clockwise, which for many drivers, can be a test.
