Circuit Gilles Villeneuve

Named in honour of renowned Canadian driver Giles Villeneuve following his death in 1982, the circuit plays host to the Canadian Grand Prix. Located on the Ile de Notre Dame – a man-made island in Montreal – it’s a track that tends to be quite favourable among drivers due to its fast corners and long straights.

At 4.36 kilometers long and with a total of 13 corners, 8 of which are right turns and 5 left, teams with greater engine performance and durability historically perform better in this event.
