Yuki Tsunoda

Born in Japan, Yuki Tsunoda gained lots of racing experience before making his Formula One debut. He began his pro karting career in 2010 and by 2014, he’d moved to national class. In 2018, he became Japanese F4 champion and two years later he was third in the Formula 2 Championship. 2021 was the year he moved to F1. He was signed by AlphaTauri as a replacement for Daniil Kvyat. His first outing was at the Bahrain Grand Prix, where he finished ninth. His display earned him a glowing review from F1 technical director Ross Brawn. He labelled Tsunoda as the best rookie F1 had seen for a long time.
