VfL Bochum

Founded in 1848, VfL Bochum are not only one of Germany’s oldest Football clubs, they’re also one of the world’s oldest sports organisations. Based in the city of Bochum, they play home games at Vonovia Ruhrstadion. Some well-known players have pulled on the famous blue shirt down the years. Leon Goretzka began his career at Die Unabsteigbaren, while Stefan Kuntz enjoyed two spells between 1983-1986 and 1998-1999. In 2021, Bochum became the fourth club to win the 2. Bundesliga on four occasions.
