Overview

Despite first meeting in the old Division Three (South) in 1920, Swansea and QPR have only met around 50 times since. The Swans nearly lost their football league status in 2003, while Rangers will regard themselves as a Premier League team just outside the top tier for now – they were a founding member of the league in 1992/93.

The pair enjoyed Premier League status together for three seasons between 2011 and 2015. QPR might have run out 3-0 winners in 2011/12, but the Swans did the double the following season. They won 5-0 at Loftus Road on the first day of the season and 4-1 at home later in the campaign. In the Championship together since 2018/19, Swansea won 3-0 in the first match of that campaign only to lose 4-0 at Loftus Road. Rangers fans will always remember a 5-1 FA Cup triumph in January 2020.
