Overview
The Derby de la Bretagne, or the Derby Breton, is one of the biggest rivalries in French football. It pits Rennes and Nantes, two clubs based in the province of Brittany, against each other. Their first meeting was in December 1963 and it was Les Canaris who claimed a 2-1 league victory.Overall, Nantes have dominated this fixture, they even secured a huge 6-1 win against their rivals in September 1969. However, Rennes have had their moments and between 2014-2019 they put together an impressive 12-match unbeaten run, winning seven and drawing five.
