PSG vs. Lille has been a fixture in the French top-flight since the mid-1970s, although there was a hiatus from 1997 to 2001 following Lille’s relegation. With both now back in the top-flight, the team from northern France have had their day in this one down the years.They beat PSG 2-0 on a triumphant return to Ligue 1 in 2001 and also enjoyed a famous 3-1 win in 2009/10. As with everything in French football, things changed with PSG’s Qatari funding, with the Parisians beginning to dominate this fixture. Highlights for PSG include a 6-1 Ezequiel Lavezzi-inspired win. Lille did claw things back with their own 5-1 win in 2018/19. PSG did the double in 2019/20 and will be looking to maintain their recent dominance.
