The Derby de la Cote d’Azur might not be the biggest rivalry in France, but they definitely care about it down south. And with around 100 Ligue 1 encounters, this is a classic French fixture.Nice ran out 3-0 winners in Monaco the first time the sides met in 1953/54 and also claimed a 6-0 win in 1960/61. Monaco hit six themselves two years later and again in 1978/79. In Monaco’s last title winning season in 2016/17 they didn’t manage all the local bragging rights with Nice running out 4-0 winners in that campaign. They followed it up the next season by again beating the champions 4-0.
