Considering these two met for the first time in 2012, they have a long and volatile history. The once Premier League side and FA Cup winners, Wimbledon, became MK Dons in 2004 after a move to Milton Keynes and a name change.

Following that move, AFC Wimbledon were born in 2002. AFC started way down but hit the heights of a meeting with MK Dons in the FA Cup in 2012. They had to wait until 2014 to taste victory with a 3-2 win in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy. Now sharing League One status since 2017, MK Dons have had the upper hand, but it’s close.
