West Brom 5-5 Man United. That was the score in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final game as United manager in 2013. While that one will always go down as a classic, there’s been plenty more to savour between these two down the years.In one of the most famous encounters of the 70s, West Brom travelled to Old Trafford and came away with a 5-3 win in 1978. Eventual United captain Bryan Robson and manager Ron Atkinson came up trumps for the Baggies that day. United always go into this one as favourites but West Brom have enjoyed recent success at Old Trafford, winning 1-0 in both 2015 and 2018.
