Overview

It was 1994 when Mallorca and Getafe first met. They came face-to-face in a Segunda Division clash at the Estadio de las Margaritas, but there was nothing to separate them as they played out an entertaining 2-2 draw. Since then, this has become a regular fixture and they even went head-to-head in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey in 2008 and 2010 – El Geta progressed to the last four on both occasions.

There are often plenty of goals in games involving these two. This was proven in the 2007/08 season, when a total of 16 were scored in four matches between the pair.
