Overview
It was in the 1894/95 season when Leicester City and Manchester City first locked horns. The Foxes claimed a 3-1 Second Division triumph in the initial meeting between the pair at Filbert Street, before a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture just 12 days later. However, since then this rivalry has been dominated by The Citizens. The Etihad Stadium natives have a significant advantage in the head-to-head and they even enjoyed a run of seven straight victories between 1934 and 1950. Man City also beat Leicester 1-0 in the 1969 FA Cup final at Wembley, with Neil Young netting the winning goal.
