This fixture was first played in the 1941/42 La Liga season. Real Madrid won the first meeting 5-2, but Granada bounced back with a 3-1 victory later in the campaign. Since then, the pair have faced off many more times in the Spanish top-flight. And it’s fair to say that Los Blancos have enjoyed more success. Between August 2013 and May 2021, they won 12 games in a row against Nazaríes. That run included a 9-1 thrashing at the Santiago Bernabéu in 2014/15.
