Overview
Everton and Tottenham Hotspur were evenly matched for many years, both ever present Premier League clubs attempting to compete with the top 4. That said, Everton have rarely come out as winners in this match, with Tottenham winning almost half of their games in the league and impressing in Europe too. Both had long talked about moves to new stadiums, and Spurs were the first to finally upgrade with the impressive Tottenham Hotspur Stadium opening in 2019. Everton may look on with envy, as their own plans have been slow to bear fruit - although their supporters can finally look forward to a proposed move to Bramley-Moore Dock for 2023/24, with the hope that this elevates them from mid-table mediocrity.
