With over 130 meetings between Everton and Sheffield United, this is a historic fixture in English football. First contested in the old Division One in 1893, it’s only ever been played outside the top-flight in two seasons – in 1951 and 1952.As founding Premier League teams, they faced off in the first two seasons of the new format until the Blades’ relegation in 1995. Sheffield United enjoyed the early Premier League spoils doing the double in 1992/93. They had to wait until 2019 for their next win – a 2-0 triumph at Goodison Park.
