Overview

The first fixture between Cardiff City and Reading was massive. It was an FA Cup semi-final in 1927 played at Molineux, which was won comprehensively by The Bluebirds who secured a 3-0 success – they went on to win the competition that year.

The two clubs faced off in another semi-final in the 2010/11 season, this time in the Championship play-offs. It was a two-legged affair, which began with a tense 0-0 draw at the Madejski Stadium. However, The Royals were ruthless in the second leg and bagged a 3-0 win which saw them progress to the final. Overall, the head-to-head is very close with Reading holding a slight advantage.
