Overview
This Roses rivalry first took place in September 1924, with both clubs in the First Division. There was nothing to separate them on that occasion, as they played out a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor. However, since then Leeds have been dominant in this fixture. Indeed, they put together an impressive run of eight wins in nine matches against Burnley between February 2005 and January 2012.Fans of both clubs will be familiar with the name Chris Wood. The New Zealander scored 44 goals in just 88 appearances for The Whites between 2015-2017. He then transferred to The Clarets, who paid £15 million for his services.
