This Roses rivalry first took place in September 1924, with both clubs in the First Division. There was nothing to separate them on that occasion, as they played out a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor. However, since then Leeds have been dominant in this fixture. The New Zealander scored 44 goals in just 88 appearances for The Whites between 2015-2017. He then transferred to The Clarets, who paid £15 million for his services.
