Overview
The early days of this fixture saw both Blackburn and Brentford enjoying topflight status. First in the 1935/36 season and then in 1946/47. And it’s yet to happen again.Since then, this one has been played as far down as the old third division in the 70s. The two sides didn’t play a single league match against each other from 1980 until 2014. Blackburn have had the upper hand in the Championship, although Brentford will savour a 5-2 win in 2019.
