As two of the founding members of La Liga, they’ve faced off nearly 150 times in the top division over the years.Sociedad were stalwarts of La Liga until their relegation in 2007. They were back up for the 2010/11 season and were duly thumped 5-0 at the Camp Nou with Lionel Messi scoring twice.
