Despite Arsenal having a considerably better head-to-head record in the Premier League, with 23 wins compared to Manchester City’s 12, the Gunners haven’t picked up so much as a point since 2017. The Emirates has been a happy hunting ground for City, winning all three of their previous games, scoring 8 and conceding none – including two 3-0 routings.

You have to go back to 2015 to find the last time Arsenal managed to record a league win over City, edging out a 2-1 result at home. This marked a double for the season, having coasted to a 2-0 victory at the Etihad earlier in the campaign.

Manchester City are looking to cement their hold on second place this season, while Arsenal will be hoping to gain European qualification following a disappointing season which saw former captain Mikel Arteta replace Unai Emery in December 2019.
