Known simply as ‘El Submarino Amarillo’ thanks to their bright yellow kits, the Castellón club may be small, but they are also very successful. Despite their size, the club has finished the semi-final of the Champions League as well as runners up in La Liga in an era dominated by Real Madrid and Barcelona. Villareal play their home games at the 24,890 capacity Estadio de la Cerámica.
