FC Lorient
FC Lorient
Founded in 1926, FC Lorient have spent much of their history playing in the lower leagues of French football. It wasn’t until 1998 that the Brittany-based club made their fist appearance in Ligue 1, which was closely followed by their first ever Coupe de France trophy. Nicknamed ‘Les Murlus’, notable former players include the likes of Laurent Koscielny, André-Pierre Gignac, and Yoann Gourcuff.
