Donning their green-striped kits, ‘Los Franjiverdes’ (literally, The Green-striped ones) were originally founded in 1923 following a merger between all of the town’s clubs. They hold something of an unwanted record, having been the only club in La Liga history to be relegated due to unpaid tax debts. Today, they play at the 33,732-capacity Estadio Martínez Valero.
