Arminia Bielefeld
Founded in 1905, Arminia Bielefeld have spent much of their history playing in the first and second tier of German football. Nicknamed ‘Die Arminen’, it derives from the Cheruscan chieftain Arminius, who defeated a Roman army in the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest. Since 1926, they’ve been playing their home games at the 27,300-capacity Bielefelder Alm Stadium.
