Overview

It was in 1998 when these two Western Conference franchises first played against each other. The Nashville Predators had only been founded earlier that year, but still managed to win the game 4-2. Since then, the San Jose Sharks have enjoyed some great results in this rivalry. They beat the Preds in the play-offs two years in a row in 2006 and 2007 - both series finished 4-1. Then, in 2016, the Sharks defeated their rivals in the play-offs again with a 4-3 series win.
