New York Islanders

Founded in 1972, the New York Islanders were initially established so that the NHL could stop the WHA using the Nassau Coliseum. It took just eight years for The Islanders to become a dominant force. Between 1980-1983 they won four consecutive Stanley Cups and became the seventh team to be honoured with dynasty status. Many iconic players have worn the royal blue, orange, and white jersey, including Dennis Potvin, Mike Bossy and Bryan Trottier.
