Overview

These two franchises first faced off in 1993, shortly after the Anaheim Ducks had been founded. It was the Ducks who got off to the perfect start. They won each of their first four games against the Edmonton Oilers, and six of the first eight. Since then, they’ve continued to pick up strong results in this fixture. But, in 2006 it was the Oilers who came out on top when the pair met in the Western Conference Finals. They beat the Mighty Ducks in five games to clinch the Clarence S. Campbell Bowl.
