Founded in 1972, the Calgary Flames are one of two NHL franchises in the province of Alberta. They were initially known as the Atlanta Flames, until they relocated in 1980. The team competes in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference, playing in their famous red, yellow, and white jerseys. Led by coach Terry Crisp and co-captained by the iconic Lanny McDonald, The Flames won their first Stanley Cup in 1988/89.
