The Argonauts and the Elks are two of the most successful teams in the CFL. As of 2021, Toronto have the most Grey Cup wins in history. Edmonton have the second most wins and the most overall wins since the official introduction of the CFL in 1958. The two franchises have met many times in the Grey Cup. The Argos won when they locked horns in the 1921 final, securing their second Grey Cup title. Toronto also triumphed in 1952 and 1996, while Edmonton claimed wins in 1982 and 1987.
