Toronto Argonauts

Toronto Argonauts

The Toronto Argonauts were founded in 1873. They’re the oldest team competing in the CFL and play in the East Division. The Argos are one of the few professional sports teams not to be renamed or relocated in the years since they were founded. In fact, they are the oldest such team in all of North America to do so. In 1914, the Argos won their first Grey Cup. Since then, they’ve gone on to lift the trophy several times. They even won the title three times in a row in 1945, 1946, and 1947. In 2016, the franchise began playing home games at BMO Field. This ended a 27-year stay at the Rogers Centre. Icons of the franchise include Dick Shatto, Joe Krol, and Michael "Pinball" Clemens.
