Overview

This rivalry began in 1996, when the Tennessee Titans were known as the Houston Oilers. Between then and 2001, the pair were both in the AFC Central Division. Games were regular and at times heated. But from 2002, games became more sporadic. The Baltimore Ravens moved to the AFC North, while the Titans were placed in the AFC South. There have been a few postseason games between them since then though, including a feisty affair in 2021. Some Ravens players danced on the Titans' logo on the field during a 20-13 win in the AFC Wildcard game. It was a move to taunt their opponents, who had done the same thing in an earlier fixture. That shows that there remains an edge to this fixture.
