The Roughriders and the Ticats have a rich Grey Cup history. The first showpiece final between the two franchises was in the 16th Grey Cup in 1928. Hamilton trounced the Riders 30-0 and the following year rubbed salt into the wounds with a 14-3 win. The Saskatchewan Roughriders had to wait until 1989 to get their revenge with a 43-40 victory at the SkyDome in Toronto. They’ve also faced off plenty of times in the CFL Regular Season.
