Overview

The first encounter between the Roughriders and the Stampeders was held in 1946. Since then, these West Division rivals have faced off well over 200 times in the CFL Regular Season. The Stamps enjoyed a perfect season in 1948 – the only CFL team ever to do so. But the following year the Roughriders finally brought the Stamps’ 22 game winning streak to an end, beating them 9-6. The Roughriders also famously beat the Stamps in the 1989 West Semi-Final on their way to their second Grey Cup win. They remain fierce divisional rivals.
