Overview

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots first met in 1972. The Steelers bossed the initial meeting, and they secured a huge 33-3 win. Since then, this has been a regular NFL fixture, and there's been some terrific battles down the years. That includes postseason encounters. The first of those came in 1997, when the Pats won an AFC Divisional playoff. Then in 2002, the pair faced off in the AFC Championship game for the first time. New England came out on top once again, winning 24-17.
