The Elks and the Roughriders have been facing off since way before the CFL was officially formed in the 1950s. By 2021, there had already been over 200 competitive matches between the two franchises. Edmonton have racked up more than 120 wins and scored over 5000 points against the Riders. When it comes to the post-season, the teams first met in the play-offs in 1950. Both have enjoyed success in post-season matchups, but they’ve yet to meet in the Grey Cup.
