Overview

This is a rivalry that pits two franchises from the state of New York against each other. The pair first met in 1960, when the New York Jets (then the New York Titans) secured a 27-3 win. Since then, this has become a regular NFL fixture as both teams play in the AFC East Division. Both have enjoyed strong spells of form. Between September 1984 and September 1987, the Jets won seven games in a row. But the Bills responded by putting together a 10-game winning streak between November 1987 and October 1992.
