Overview

This rivalry began in 1995. The first ever meeting was a tight affair, which the Toronto Raptors won 103-102. But it was the Washington Wizards who came out on top when the two teams met in the NBA playoffs in 2015. They won an Eastern Conference First Round series 4-0, which was the first sweep in their history. Three years later, the pair played each other again in the first round of the playoffs. The Raptors got their revenge on that occasion, securing a 4-2 series win.
