Overview

These two franchises first tipped off against each other in 1968. It was the Boston Celtics who got off to a great start, winning each of the first five meetings. But the Milwaukee Bucks responded by winning 11 games in a row between 1969 and 1971. It’s fair to say that these two have played some epic postseason series against each other. The first was in 1974, when Boston won 4-3 in the NBA Finals to clinch their 12th Championship. They then played in the 1984 and 1986 Finals, with the Celtics winning both times. The Bucks did win 4-1 when the pair contested the 2015 Conference Semi-Finals though.
