LA Lakers v Utah Jazz
The Lakers picked up some fantastic results early in this rivalry. In 1974, (while still based in Minneapolis) they won their first game against the Utah Jazz (then the New Orleans Jazz) 127-122. The Lakers went on to finish the 1970s with a 13-5 winning record in this fixture. They dominated in the 1980s too, racking up a 43-14 record. But it was the Jazz who came out on top when the pair contested the Western Conference Finals in 1998. They were in fantastic form during that series and swept the Lakers 4-0 to reach the NBA Finals.
