Washington Nationals
Washington Nationals
The Washington Nationals were established in 1969 and initially known as the Montreal Expos. They relocated to the American capital in 2005 to become the eighth MLB franchise to be based in Washington D.C. After some initial struggles, Nats became more successful in the 2010s. In 2019 they managed to win their maiden National League pennant before going on to clinch their first World Series title by defeating the Houston Astros. The team plays home games at Nationals Park.
