New York Mets
Established in 1962, the New York Mets were founded to replace the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Giants. Their colours incorporate both the blue of the Dodgers and the Giants’ orange. Based in Queens, the Metropolitans play home games at Citi Field. After seven tough years in Major League Baseball, they caused a major upset in 1969 when their side – dubbed the ‘Miracle Mets’ - won their first World Series.
