Established in 1993, the Miami Marlins compete in Major League Baseball’s National League East Division. They were initially known as the Florida Marlins, before changing their name in 2012 when they moved from Joe Robbie Stadium to LoanDepot Park. The Fish won their first World Series title in 1997, becoming the first team to win the championship as a wild card. The franchise repeated that feat in 2003 with a 4-2 World Series victory against the New York Yankees.
